Q. What gives you two hours of pleasure in enjoyable and entertaining company, moderately taxes the grey cells and leaves you with a warm feeling inside and only costs £2?

A. Quizaid, the new annual Christian Aid fund raising event and the good news is that it is taking place in Lighthorne Village Hall, on Friday May 16^th at 8pm.

Q. Who is organising the event and why?

A. Colin Such, because he believes that Christian Aid is one of the most efficient charities doing very worthwhile work to help alleviate world poverty.

Q. Oh, no! It’s going to be too difficult for me, isn’t it?

A. No, because the vast majority of the questions are set by the Christian Aid team and the quiz takes place nationally on the same evening, with, hopefully, thousands of people answering the same questions all over the country.

Q. What size are the teams?

A. Ideally 4, but smaller or larger teams can be accommodated, with a points handicap system in operation.

Q. But I don’t have a team.

A. Don’t worry, there will be other teamless people there and you can get together on the evening.

Q. Do I need to do anything to book a place?

A. It would be helpful if Colin knew roughly how many teams to cater for, so please email him, colinsuch@dsl.pipex.com, or ring him on 651411.

Q. Is it really only £2 per person – it sounds too good to be true!

A. Yes.
