circa 1958

This is possibly the last photograph of Lighthorne School before it closed for good in 1960.   It was probably taken in 1958.   Almost half of the pupils are the Webb children who lived in a small corrugated tin roofed cottage where Forrester's Cottage now stands in Tansy Hill field.  When the school closed, all but one of the pupils transferred to what was then called Gaydon County Primary School at RAF Gaydon.
